Since getting their five minutes of fame on Married at First Sight Australia, the cast of the 2022 season have already taken every opportunity they can to stay in the spotlight — including rocking up to Australian Fashion Week.

Held in Sydney from May 9 – 13, MAFS contestants including Domenica Calarco, Ella Ding, Jack Millar and villains Olivia Frazer, Tamara Djordjevic and Carolina Santos were among the throngs of influencers and Aussie fashion elite.

And while most left without causing a stir, Tamara and Carolina decided to wear fur. Real, goddamn animal fur.

Tamara posted the above snap to her Instagram page, tagging MONFURS, a “custom fox fur jacket and coat” brand.

It wasn’t long before a number of her followers took to the comment section to call the star out for the fur-pas (sorry, we had to!).

“Stop hurting sentient beings… foxes are not your fashion statement,” one penned.

Another questioned Tamara as to why “animals’ skin” is “fashionable”.

“All sorts of wrong,” they wrote. “It’s abuse.”

Instagram user @veganbooty3 also shared Tamara’s post to their Instagram Story with the caption: “Animal abuser wearing fox fur.”

However, one So Dramatic! spy noticed that Tamara soon began deleting comments referencing the furry ‘fit. Further to this, a bunch of fake profiles were “defending Tamara”.

“She also had the company in her post, but she edited it and still had them in the tag,” the source said.

Married at First Sight‘s Carolina Was Also Slammed for Sporting Real Fur at Fashion Week

Tamara wasn’t the only Married at First Sight bride rocking real fur at Fashion Week this year.

Fans were also “disgusted” with Carolina for promoting MONFURS at the well-publicised event.

One follower slid into So Dramatic!‘s DMs alongside a recent post from the Brazillian bride.

“She is wearing and promoting REAL FUR COATS!!” the user said.

Further adding fuel to the fire was Carolina’s caption which read: “Obsessed with this [MONFURS] jacket I wore to [Australian Fashion Week].” Huh?? Do these people not know that real fur hasn’t been fashionable for a decade (at least)?!

Ah, lifestyles of the rich and the ignorant…
