Netflix has spiced up our lives with its announcement that the Spice Girls’ Melanie ‘Mel B’ Brown and Emma Bunton have joined The Circle season four.

The hit series pulls all the crucial elements from reality TV, game shows and dating shows and sees online players communicate virtually as they befriend, flirt and catfish their way to $100,000.

Now, Scary Spice and Baby Spice are hoping to be the series’ latest victors as they fool their co-stars with a persona named Jared.

In a teaser released by Netflix on Wednesday, the pop stars promised to turn the game on its head.

“We are coming into The Circle to spice things up a bit,” Emma revealed.

Adding that they’re massive fans of the show, Mel B said it was a “no brainer” for them to join the cast.

“We’re going in as a catfish… We have absolutely no idea who we’re going to be playing,” Mel continued, adding: “We’re going to be seen in a different light.”

Emma concluded: “Things might get a little bit spicy!”

What Exactly Is The Circle?

During The Circle competition, each player is banished to their own room and therefore can only communicate with their peers via a social network called — you guessed it — the Circle.

Given nobody knows who TF you are, you can interact as yourself or as a catfish to try and boost your popularity.

As per tradition, your true identity is only revealed when you’re eliminated or “blocked”.

Keen on getting in on the action? Well, stop right now! The Circle season four is streaming on Netflix as we speak.
