Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s most controversial bride Olivia Frazer has reportedly been booted from her university over her behaviour in the experiment.
The 28-year-old has found herself the subject of many controversies this season, namely one which saw her distribute a racy photo of Domenica Calarco among the cast. The incident, which is classed as image-based abuse, is currently being investigated by NSW authorities.
A student from Olivia’s former university has told So Dramatic! that the TV bride’s actions have “brought the university into disrepute” and she has been expelled.
So Dramatic! reached out to Olivia’s university, whose name has been redacted for privacy. The institution said: “We decline the opportunity to comment.”
“We have a code of conduct which states our behaviour can’t bring the uni’s reputation into disrepute on social media or a public platform,” they said. In addition, students are prohibited from “partaking in revenge porn and bullying”, too. Well then.
According to the student, the powers at be were made aware of a petition that a “significant percentage of students signed” to have Olivia’s behaviour, and enrolment, reviewed.
They also revealed that all students received an email from the Deans about the final decision to expel Olivia.
“It reminded [students] of the code of conduct and ethics they agreed to when accepting their enrolment,” the insider said. “And that they were aware of a student petition which a ‘significant amount of students signed’.
“Her behaviour brings the university into disrepute and they have made the difficult decision to withdraw her enrolment.”
When the students were contacted by the Deans, they were also asked to speak up if they “thought the decision was too harsh”.
Our source disclosed that “not a single student came to [Olivia’s] defence” at the time.
So Dramatic! has reached out to the university for comment.
Married at First Sight‘s Olivia Has Also Lost Her Job As a Result of the Show
As well as losing her place at university, Olivia recently revealed she lost her job as a student-teacher.
During a radio interview, Hughesy, Ed and Erin co-host Erin Moran questioned the reality star as to whether she thinks her involvement in the show would “impact [her] ability” to get a job moving forward.
It was then that Olivia confessed the series has already had a negative effect on job prospects.
“Yeah, look. I’ve already lost my job as a direct result of this show,” she admitted on Tuesday. She is yet to elaborate further on the matter.
