A Change.org petition has been created to petition the e-Safety Commissioner to immediately take action against Married at First Sight’s Olivia Frazer after she knowingly distributed an OnlyFans photo of Domenica Calarco.
During the second-last dinner party of the season, it was revealed that Olivia had “Googled” Domenica as an act of revenge.
She then found a photograph from Domenica’s account and then shared it with the rest of the cast.
The petition, which was started by Peter Molak Joyce, stated that: “‘Olivia Frazer’ shared an intimate image of another participant ‘Domenica Calarco’ with the other participants in the program, without Domenica’s consent.”
It continued: “This meets the official definition of ‘image based abuse’ outlined on the e-Safety Commissioner’s website ‘Image-based abuse occurs when an intimate image or video is shared without the consent of the person pictured’.”
Peter then called for the e-Safety Commissioner to immediately take action against Olivia “in order to make it clear this kind of abuse is not acceptable.”
“Especially on a nationally syndicated television program in which both the victim and the perpetrator have taken part.”
The petition was uploaded on March 16 and by March 17, 20,662 people had signed the petition.
E-Safety Commissioner Reaches Out to Petition Creator
On March 17, Peter provided an update to those following the saga, announcing that the E-Safety Commissioner’s Office had reached out to him via Twitter.
“[They] advised they ‘can only investigate matters reported by the person affected or their nominated representative’,” he wrote. This means that “Domenica will need to engage with them herself for an investigation to commence”.
Peter also revealed that he’d been “fortunate enough to connect” with the Italian bride herself.
“She’s aware and supportive of this petition,” he said. “She is currently in the process of obtaining legal advice, and has asked us to keep the petition and momentum going for the time being.”
Well, the momentum has certainly stayed up to scratch! On March 18, the petition had garnered a whopping 89,777 signatures. On March 22, not even a week after its conception, 121K people had signed the call to action.
The number continues to grow by the minute, and if it reaches 150,000 signatures, the petition will become one of the top signed on Change.org.
What Is “Image-Based Abuse”?
According to their terms of service, “you must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on the Website.”
While you cannot publicly administer the content, you are allowed to store files “that are automatically cached by your Web browser.”
However, this is only for “display enhancement purposes”. You can also keep ONE copy for your “own personal, non-commercial use and not for further reproduction, publication, or distribution.”
