The Bachelor Australia alum Abbie Chatfield is quickly stacking up quite the resume, with the 26-year-old rumoured to be the next host of Love Island Australia.

While a fourth season of the hit dating series is yet to be confirmed, the Herald Sun has suggested that Abbie could take over from long-time host and national treasure, Sophie Monk. Say what now?!

On Tuesday, the publication reported “that if the show returns Abbie Chatfield might be in the hosting hot seat rather than Australia’s resident TV bombshell Sophie Monk”.

The rumours follow Abbie’s success as a first-time TV host late last year when she headed up Love Island Australia‘s Afterparty series.

Abbie Chatfield’s Popularity Is On The Rise

Since dramatically exiting The Bachelor as Matt Agnew‘s runner-up in 2019, Abbie has only been on the up and up in her career.

Shortly after her foray into reality TV, the star broke into the broadcast industry when she launched her hit podcast It’s A Lot.

She has since rung in endorsement deals en masse, won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2021 and has had guest appearances on The Hundred and Would I Lie to You?.

In early 2022, the beloved star also scored her very own radio gig, Hot Nights With Abbie Chatfield, on the HIT Network.

Abbie Chatfield’s Sweet Reunion With Her Bachelor Bae Matt Agnew

In February, Matt featured on Hot Nights as the radio show’s influencer of the week.

The reunion was mostly centred on Matt’s admirable act of shaving his head for The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.

When asked by Abbie why he wanted to do the shave, the former Tarzan-lookalike said it was a “great opportunity” to get rid of his lockdown locks and beard.

“I obviously made a choice, but I think the really salient thing is that the people who are battling blood cancers – they don’t get to make a choice, just because of the intense therapy and treatment [like] chemo,” he continued. “That hair falls out, that choice is robbed of them.”

“It’s a sign of solidarity being able to do that, and also raising funds and awareness. It’s an opportunity I’m really grateful I had the chance to be involved in.”

At the time, Matt had already raised an impressive $10,000 — and damn, could we love him any more?!
