The Bachelor Australia 2021 winner Holly Kingston is totally unrecognisable in an adorable throwback picture the star shared on Instagram.
Holly shared “the ultimate throwback Thursday” with her 98.4k followers yesterday, posting a pic of her younger self with her “old XL pug”.
“You’re welcome,” she joked.
Holly followed the sweet childhood snap with another #throwbackthursday, sharing a series of images from her first date with fellow The Bachelor Australia star Jimmy Nicholson.
And guess what…
That date was at the very same spot Holly had posed with her pug all those years earlier!
“Another fun throwback for you,” she captioned the post.
“It was at that exact same dog park (where I grew up) that @jimmynicholson and I had our first date on the show… and it wasn’t planned!”
If that isn’t proof that Holly and Jimmy are destined to be together, we don’t know what is!
Holly and Jimmy’s Bachie Romance Was Meant to Be
Jimmy and Holly found love on The Bachelor Australia‘s ninth season and overcame countless obstacles throughout the show, including Holly being called a C U Next Tuesday several times, whispers of certain people not being there for the right reasons AND — who can forget — the fact that two-thirds of viewers tuned out after three episodes because the trajectory of Jimmy finding love was just. So. Dry.
The couple have defied all odds and gone from strength to strength since leaving the show.
They even moved in together in September 2021.
Jimmy broke the news to fans in early September, captioning a sweet pic of himself and Holly: “All smiles to have settled on the new digs. Guess who my roommate is?”
The Bachie couple have been living in their seriously impressive $1.42million North Bondi home for around three months, inciting some serious house envy with countless Instagram snaps of their pad.
Not Everyone Thought Holly and Jimmy Were Going to Last
Despite their Instagram PDA and fated first date, not everyone from The Bachelor thought the winning couple would last.
In October last year Laura O’Loughlin, a contestant on the 2021 season of the show, spoke to host Megan Pustetto on episode 107 of the So Dramatic! podcast. When asked what she thought of their relationship, Laura confessed she didn’t think Holly and Jimmy had the “strongest connection”.
Laura admitted it was a “big call” for her to make, however, she felt that he definitely had a better relationship with his runner-up, Brooke Cleal and second runner-up, Jay Lal.
Welp, from where we’re sitting it looks like Jimmy and Holly are still going strong!
