It looks like The Block 2021‘s Tanya Guccione hasn’t lost faith in reality TV, having been spotted in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
During Sunday night’s episode the housewives gussied up for Cherry Dipietrantonio‘s 40th birthday, and a flash of a certain someone’s purple hair didn’t go amiss at the event!
Taking to Instagram following the episode, Tanya confirmed the reason why she was brushing shoulders with reality TV royalty.
“Little cameo appearance on @rhomelbourne celebrating the beautiful [Cherry] on her birthday,” she penned alongside a photo of herself and husband Vito with the birthday girl. “What a fun night and it was great to see some familiar crew on set too.”
“For those wondering I’m Cherry’s glam girl, hair and makeup,” Tanya revealed, reminding fans of “that thing before The Block otherwise known as ‘my real job'”.
Cherry has previously shared snaps of herself with Tanya on her own Instagram account, praising her hair and makeup skills.
Tanya quickly became the villain on The Block 2021 after she found herself at the centre of the show’s “biggest ever cheating scandal”. Hmmm, we wonder if she took some notes on dramatic flair while hanging out with the Real Housewives?!
Tanya Guccione Previously Revealed Her Connection To The Real Housewives of Melbourne
Chatting to 9Entertainment some months ago, Tanya revealed that she’d been working on The Real Housewives of Melbourne, albeit behind the scenes.
“As a makeup artist, right, not as a housewife,” the 39-year-old said. “Definitely not ready for that yet.”
However, the mum-of-two added: “There were moments definitely where I felt it could be very similar.”
Tanya Guccione’s Reality TV Past
The Block wasn’t the first — and it evidently isn’t the last — reality TV show that Tanya has appeared on.
Chatting to KIISFM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson in November, the controversial personality revealed she’d previously met the radio hosts when appearing on Popstars in 2001.
At 19-years-old, Tanya auditioned for the TV singing competition which birthed pop group Scandal’us. Jackie O was a judge on the series while Kyle made a number of brief appearances.
“I remember you guys from all the way back then,” Tanya told them. “You were awesome then, and awesome now.”
Tanya Guccione Thinks She Was Set-Up On The Block
In The Block 2021 finale, Tanya finally ‘fessed up to taking a photo of the embargoed production schedule, which was the catalyst of the cheating scandal.
However, she told Kyle and Jackie O that she thinks the show’s producers set up the controversial incident.
Tanya reiterated that she came across the schedule when going to the toilet in the “production house” while they were filming the series’ promos.
“When I came out of the bathroom, Josh [Packham] said ‘Have you seen the board?'”
It was then that 39-year-old went back to take a photo, which she claims the snap then “spread like wildfire.”
When Tanya was asked whether the production schedule being on display was “some sort of trap” set by producers, she admitted it’s a question she asks herself regularly.
“I often wonder why the heck they let me use that bathroom,” she explain. “Especially because I’m a bit of a rebel at heart.”
She added that the producers “can’t make you do anything”, but “they can definitely set things up as a trap.” And ain’t that the beauty of reality TV?!
Now we’re left wondering which show Tanya will pop up on next? MasterChef? SAS Australia? The sky truly is the limit!
