Sick of swiping right on Tinder only to match with walking red flags or dudes who live in their grandmas’ basements? Tinder and Love Island Australia are launching an exclusive new feature that allows you to crack on with saucy ex-Islanders!

Launching on Monday night during Love Island Australia’s 2021‘s premiere episode, Swipe Island gives Tinder users the chance to match with their favourite Islanders from seasons one and two. Hello, Matt Zukowski!

Users will also be able to catch the attention of 2021 Islanders as they get booted from the villa. See? One influencer’s trash is one Tinder user’s treasure!

But you’ll need to get in quick if you’re hoping to land yourself beach babe — the feature is only available during Monday night episodes.

Which Contestants Will Be Heading To Swipe Island?

Two former Love Island contestants have already been confirmed as Swipe Islanders.

Fans of the show will be able to shoot their shot with season one favourites Millie Fuller and Teddy Briggs via the new feature.

“I’m ready for a second shot [at love]!” Millie says. “There’s no doubt that this will be the Summer of Love, so I will be packing my virtual bags and heading to Swipe Island!”

Fans of the show will also be able to match with each other, as well as some well-known influencers in the likes of TikTok sensation Peach PRC!

Tinder Had A Hand In The Love Island Australia Casting Process

In July it was announced that Tinder was the official casting partner for Love Island 2021.

Aspiring Islanders (see also: fame-seekers) were able to apply for the show via Tinder through a “fast-tracked” casting process. All they had to do was ‘like’ the show’s profile when it appeared as a potential match on the app!

If a user profile complemented that of another, they’d be moved ahead of the other genetically blessed applicants to a priority list.

Now, we’re left wondering which of the upcoming Islanders were successfully matched on the dating app!

Swipe Island Originally Kicked Off In The UK

The creative new feature was originally trialled during the 2021 season of Love Island UK when it premiered in June.

Tinder and ITV revealed that eight ex-Islanders would be joining the app to find “their type on paper” without the hectic drama of the show!

Whether you’re on the hunt for that one-in-a-million, or just that one within your restricted ten-kilometre radius, tune into Love Island on Monday and get swiping!
