Married at First Sight Australia 2025 groom Tim Gromie reportedly lost his job as a primary school teacher as a result of the show.
ICYMI: The 12th season of the infamous marriage experiment is upon us, and it has not disappointed in providing a bunch of participants who, quite frankly, Australia is already slinging sh*t at.
The January 28 episode introduced us to Tim, a 38-year-old teacher who was matched with 37-year-old CEO Katie Johnson, and he was having NONE of it.
“What the f*ck. It’s just totally not what I wanted. I normally go for short, petite, blonde or brunette,” Tim told producers after he said “I do”.
“Katie’s nothing what I normally go for… I’m a bit embarrassed that I’ve come here now. I don’t want to be here.”
He’s since deleted social media, allegedly out of fear of his “edit“. However, one of his groomsmen, Luke Stapleton, dished during a tell-all with So Dramatic! that Tim’s icky behaviour was “100 per cent… in the context he delivered it”.
In episode 446 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Luke also claimed that Tim’s involvement in MAFS resulted in him losing his job as a teacher. Ouch.
“Where he was working was already concerned [about Tim’s MAFS appearance prior to filming],” he confessed. Uh-oh…
