The Bachelorette Australia 2021’s Brooke Blurton has unfollowed Abbie Chatfield on Instagram just one day before she is set to appear on the show as Brooke’s best friend.
Abbie’s appearance was teased in a preview for Thursday night’s finale episode. The promo showed the Bachie alum grilling Brooke’s top two, finalists Darvid Garayeli and Jamie-Lee Dayz.
Of course, everyone lost their sh*t at the sight of the 26-year-old on the show – mainly because some fans are a little dirty on the It’s A Lot podcast host for debuting her relationship with Brooke’s fourth-place beau Konrad Bien-Stephen before the series finished airing.
As it turns out, our Bachelorette isn’t happy about the timing of Abbie’s hard-launch of Konrad either seeing as she no longer follows her pal on the ‘gram.
Now, we know you’re thinking this is a bit of a stretch. Who’s to say that Brooke only unfollowed Abbie on Wednesday night?

Brooke Blurton Liked Abbie Chatfield’s Hard Launch Of Konrad Bien-Stephen
On Wednesday, Abbie hard launched her and Konrad With A K’s relationship with a series of snaps and videos on Instagram. Yes, during The Bachelorette finale week, which is supposed to be all about… *checks notes*… Brooke. More on this later.
At the time of posting, Brooke actually liked the relationship’s official debut, which means she would have been following Abbie to see the snaps.
However, we have a sneaking suspicion that this loved-up post from the Love Island Afterparty host was the last straw for The Bachelorette. Several hours after the announcement was made, Brooke was no longer following her.
Should Abbie Chatfield Have Waited To Debut Her New Relationship?
While we’re thrilled with the news that two Bachie icons have linked up, others aren’t impressed with Abbie’s decision to hard launch the relationship on the eve of Brooke’s finale.
On a So Dramatic! podcast Instagram post, host Megan Pustetto mused that maybe, just maybe, Abbie and Konrad could have waited until after the finale aired to debut their relationship.
“I mean, she could have waited until Monday, surely?” she wrote.
The comment garnered over 50 likes, but here’s the real clanger: Brooke Blurton was one of the people who liked the comment. Very telling, no?
Brooke’s The Bachelor 2018 co-star and close friend Alisha Aitken-Radburn also liked the comment, as well as 2020 winner Irena Srbinovska.
Other Bachie fans are of the same thinking.
“I don’t think there should have been a relationship post this week. Brooke’s finale is tomorrow,” one user wrote.
Another said: “Abbie could have waited, in respect to her friend.”
Brooke Blurton’s Initial Response To The New Relationship
The infamous video of Abbie and Konrad pashing in Byron Bay was released while fans across the country were watching Konrad’s “love story” with Brooke play out on screens. And while we totally ship the pairing now, Brooke on the other hand, was not happy.
As reported in episode 121 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it was revealed that the 2021 Bachelorette had some choice words to say — particularly because she and Abbie were friends!
“Brooke is really upset,” a close friend of the 26-year-old revealed. “She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She had no idea they even knew each other!”
According to our source, Brooke is angry because she recently spoke about how spoilers were to blame for the show’s low ratings.
“And now Abbie has gone and done this to her. She’s pissed!” OUCH!
