We know why the wholesome cooking show My Kitchen Rules has become super dramatic in 2024.
Whilst the cooking series is usually known for being tamer than other reality shows — such as our favourite marriage experiment — viewers have noticed that My Kitchen Rules has been extra spicy this year.
As revealed in episode 421 of the So Dramatic! podcast, this is for a very good reason.
“The whole season is focused on the drama and not the cooking. It’s f*cked how much drama there is,” one insider dished.
“And it’s because the producers came straight from Farmer Wants a Wife and Married at First Sight, so that says a lot.”
And suddenly, it all makes sense!
“They know how to manipulate the cast,” the source added. “Their main goal was to create tension, and it worked.”
And it looks like no one (and no shows) are safe from the drama curse these days (Yay!).
