Married at First Sight Australia 2019‘s Jessika Power has hit back at trolls following the shocking death of her father, Anthony.

The serial reality star revealed on August 4 that Anthony — her stepfather whom Jessika told So Dramatic! raised her since she was a baby — had suddenly passed away.

“Doesn’t feel real,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and her father on Instagram at the time.

Now, the 31-year-old has called netizens out for continuing to troll her while she grieves Anthony’s loss.

“Don’t get me wrong, I could cry over the amount of support I’ve been receiving on here since the passing of my dad,” Jessika wrote in an Instagram Story on August 11.

“I wish I could just get rid of the amount of people who are messaging me about not bringing my dog back to Australia. How much of a ‘bad’ person I am. Me having an [OnlyFans] account. My financial position (as if they know me).”

Jessika Power asks followers for some leeway as she navigates ‘new reality’

Jessika asked followers to keep in mind the immense pain she and her family are experiencing.

“Please grasp the fact that my actual father has passed away. Please understand that me and my family are torn to pieces and we are all trying to even come to grips with our new reality,” the Celebs Go Dating UK star wrote.

She went on to say that she doesn’t set out to “tear [people] to pieces just to have a laugh” like some of her followers appear to do.

“I have so many loyal people on here that are being supportive (and I’ve been receiving that in abundance),” she concluded.

“I shouldn’t even have to do this [post], but I’m being accosted every single day [on] my posts and my videos, and all I’m asking is please take a fkn break.”

Married at First Sight‘s Jessika Power cops backlash over funeral GoFundMe

Jessika’s plea comes after she and her brother, Rhyce Power, were criticised by fans for asking people to donate to a GoFundMe set up to help with funeral costs.

Following Anthony’s death, Rhyce posted that the family was “doing a GoFundMe… and a small donation for the funeral will help”.

He also shared a screenshot of the page, which revealed they aimed to raise $2,500.

At the time of writing, $18,005 had been raised on behalf of the family.

However, several fans weren’t thrilled with Rhyce and his family requesting donations, considering their immense fame and success.

Under one of Jessika’s recent Instagram posts, one user asked why she was “asking the public for money when [she] splurges her opulence all over social media.”

“Revolting,” they added.

“Sorry for your loss, but at what point do you and your brother think it’s okay to promote a GoFundMe when there are people who literally have no homes or food to eat, and you two always brag about the money you make?” another added, referring to Jessika and Rhyce’s major OnlyFans earnings.

She later told Daily Mail that her sister’s fiancé created the GoFundMe “before [she] was aware”.

“The GoFundMe is to help pay for my father’s funeral as he passed suddenly overnight,” she said.

“Even though the family are all donating to help, however, a funeral is costly, especially when it is as sudden as this.”
