Dream Home 2024 had a happy ending for one lucky team, but fans are p*ssed following a “rubbish” detail they noticed in the finale episode.
During the July 9 finale, brothers Rhys and Liam Almond won the show’s inaugural season after seven weeks of gruelling renovations.
The duo beat fellow Dream Home finalists Lara and Peter Bird, as well as Taeler and Elle Jordan. The win saw them pocket a whoppiin $100,000 in prize money.

Despite Rhys and Liam’s victory celebrations, fans couldn’t help but call out the show’s judges, Lana Taylor, Rosie Morely and Simon Cohen.

What did Dream Home 2024 viewers say about the judges?
According to several Dream Home viewers, the panel were “walking contradictions” due to how their criticisms differed between teams.
“Never ever again let these three near a judging competition,” one penned online. “Don’t like dark fences; want dark fences. A small fire pit is okay; this one is not. Absolute contradictions and have no idea about practicality.”
Another fan begged Channel Seven to “get new judges” should the show be renewed for 2025
“For supposed experts, they are absolute rubbish. Walking contradictions. Get new ones next time,” another agreed. Ouch.
A third chimed in: “Don’t even know who the f*ck these people are, but we need new judges next year!”
Dream Home viewers ask to include contestants from all around Australia
While the fans’ gripe with the judges was the most common complaint, other viewers asked that Dream Home include contestants from all around Australia.
“Next season, Dream Home needs to have couples from Adelaide and Perth taking part,” one person penned.
This year, only teams from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland were cast on the show.
At this stage, Channel Seven is yet to announce whether Dream Home has been renewed for another season.
