An insider has debunked a crazy theory about the Masterchef Australia 2024 winner and spilled some JUICY finale filming secrets.
The finale for the 2024 season of the hit cooking show is right around the corner, and fans have already placed bets on which of their fave chefs will take the crown.
However, one production insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle that while the show is pre-filmed and the cast knows which amateur chefs made the top two, nobody finds out who wins until the day before, including the winner!
“Two endings were filmed in mid-January, and the two contestants who made it to the finale have been waiting months to get the result. It’s anyone’s guess at this stage,” the insider dished.
“Forget what you read on the bookies websites. They aren’t always as accurate as you’d think. None of the cast knows who takes out the competition, and that’s [how] they keep the ending a secret.”

The insider then debunked a theory about the MasterChef winner.
“There’s a theory that the person who gets the first take on the day of filming is the winner,” they spilled. “That’s been the way it has worked in the past.
“But producers may have changed that process to throw everyone off, especially those who were permitted to stay in the kitchen during the filming of the two different endings.” Interesting!
The source explained how MasterChef‘s pre-filmed endings work.
“The scores from the judges are omitted and filmed later, which reveals why the two cooks left don’t even know who wins the competition,” they explained.
Another source told Yahoo! Lifestyle that “there are some upsets yet to come” regarding the 2024 season winner.
“Fan favourites do get booted before the grand finale,” they confirmed. “The last two weeks of the show are some of the best MasterChef episodes fans will ever see. The best parts of this season have yet to be screened.” Juicy!
