Married at First Sight Australia 2025 has been rocked after an executive producer quit just weeks before filming the upcoming season.

ICYMI: MAFS will return to screens next year with its 12th (!!) season. However, rumour has it that the show is already in shambles after producer Mollie Harwood quit Endemol Shine, the production company behind the marriage experiment.

Per Daily Mail Australia, Mollie joined the show as a co-executive producer in 2022 before being promoted to EP in 2023.

The outlet revealed that the recently departed executive decided to quit the show at the beginning of the year.

However, she only went public with the news in recent weeks.

Mollie’s exit from Married at First Sight comes after Alex Spurway announced she would be the only executive producer for Season 12.

It also follows Tara McWilliams being promoted to Director of Content at Endemol Shine Australia.

Former MAFS executive producer Tara McWilliams says ‘DNA of show’ will stay the same

Tara took the reins of MAFS in 2016 and is the mastermind behind the sh*t-ton of hectic drama that’s graced (and disgraced) our screens.

She stepped down from the gig in April 2022, but she assured fans the “DNA of the show remains the same”.

“I don’t really think it matters who’s at the helm of the show,” she told Daily Mail.

“I’ll still be across it on a kind of more bigger picture, overarching not necessarily the minutiae of the day-to-day. But you’ll see I’ll certainly be very much a part of it, too.”

As former MAFS stars call for the series’ DNA to be reformed, others have criticised Tara’s role in encouraging producer manipulation tactics behind the scenes.
