Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Sara Mesa has hit back at former brides Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding for shading her on their podcast.
Alongside the backlash from their interview with controversial MAFS couple Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams, Domenica and Ella have copped a lot of heat for their obvious disdain for 2024 stars Sara and Lauren Dunn.
During one of their podcast episodes, Domenica and Ella downplayed Sara’s experience of sexual assault on the show after several unwanted advances from Jack and even victim-blamed her.
During part three of her tell-all on the So Dramatic! podcast, Sara said the podcast hosts turned on her and Lauren for no reason.
“I’ve never had drama with Dom and Ella. I’ve never met them,” she told host Megan Pustetto.
The 29-year-old explained that she’d spoken to them at the beginning of her MAFS journey, but as soon as her cheating scandal came out, they “turned on her all of a sudden”.
“They just decided that they didn’t like us,” she added.
The nutritionist also speculated that Domenica and Ella were jealous of her close-knit friendship with Lauren because they viewed the besties as competition.
“Lauren and I have a really strong friendship that came out of MAFS, and it’s weird because [Dom and Ella] had one as well.
“I don’t know whether they feel threatened by that. It’s a shame because there’s space for all of us,” she said.

Sara also noticed that Domenica and Ella’s podcast episodes with the 2024 MAFS cast were all “smear campaigns” against her.
“They criticised me for being friends with my ex, even though Dom’s still friends with her ex Jack [Millar],” the former bride said.
“They called me aggressive and all the names under the sun, even though Dom was hurt when Olivia Frazer called her those things.”
Sara then questioned why Domenica and Ella invited everyone who “didn’t like” her and Lauren on their podcast.
“It was a smear campaign. It’s so obvious. And I think the audience saw that as well,” she added.
“It was obvious there was a vendetta against us, and I don’t think people appreciated it because Domenica and Ella didn’t want to hear our side.”

Sara then spilled that Domenica and Ella invited her and Lauren on their podcast.
“It was a sympathy invite,” she explained. “They asked us to come on their podcast to explain our side of the story and clear things up”.
However, after listening to some of their other interviews, Sara decided against it.
“I responded to Domenica and said: ‘Why would I go on a podcast that has set out to slam Lauren and me? Every interview has been redirected to talk sh*t about us. I wouldn’t be able to sit there and feel comfortable with two people who hate my guts.” Period!
Sara then claimed that “karma’s a b*tch”, and she’s not surprised the podcast duo have been dragged for their shady antics.
“If they’re intimidated by my friendship with Lauren and our success or what’s coming, then jealousy works the opposite way they want it to.”
