Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Domenica Calarco has updated fans on when she’ll be returning to social media after entering a mental health facility following backlash.
In May, Domenica and her co-host Ella Ding interviewed controversial MAFS couple Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams on their Sit With Us podcast.
However, fans were shocked when the podcast hosts victim-blamed Lauren Dunn and defended some of the awful things Jack did on the show.
After eventually issuing an apology following backlash from fans, Domenica told her Instagram followers she was checking herself into a ‘mental health retreat‘ due to the anxiety she’d been experiencing “over the last month” before deleting her social media accounts.
On June 18, the 31-year-old shared an update with fans on the Sit With Us Instagram page.
“I’m nearing the end of my 21-day stay at a mental health facility, where I’ve been focusing intensely on my wellbeing and recovery,” the former TV bride wrote.
Domenica explained that she’d spent time healing, reflecting and growing, and expressed gratitude for all the support she’d received from her fans during her “healing journey”.

Domenica also revealed that she was “carefully planning [her] return to social media”, aiming to be back online “later this week”.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you all, sharing insights from my experience, and continuing our conversations on important topics, particularly on the podcast,” she wrote.
“My goal is to come back stronger and more mentally fit than ever before.
“I’m committed to prioritising my health and well-being, and I appreciate your ongoing support as I navigate this next chapter,” she added before thanking everyone for standing by her.
