Love Island Australia 2019‘s Matt Zukowski and influencer Tammy Hembrow‘s leaked wedding invitation has sparked outrage after the couple asked for donations despite Tammy’s HUGE net worth.
The pair, who announced their engagement in December, are set to tie the knot in November.
However, a leaked wedding invitation obtained by Influencer Updates AU has sparked controversy as fans learned the duo will have a wishing well, a donation box where guests can give cash gifts, at their Byron Bay wedding.
People were shocked by their request, given Tammy’s estimated net worth is $50 million, per Australian Financial Review’s Young Rich List.
“Your presence on our day is the greatest gift of all,” the invitation read. “However, if you would like to gift us something, a wishing well will be at our wedding for your contribution and well wishes.”
Tammy has accumulated her huge wealth through her successful clothing business, Saski, which she founded in 2017. She also has her own health and fitness app, Tammy Fit.
Not only that, but with her 17.4M Instagram followers, she’s rumoured to make a whopping $63,000 for a single sponsored post, according to Influencer Marketing Hub.
Tammy Hembrow and Matt Zukowski are requesting a ‘CHILD-FREE’ wedding
Many people were also confused when the couple requested a “child-free” wedding despite Tammy having three kids, Wolf, Saskia and Posey herself from two previous relationships.
“Whilst we love your babies, our wedding will be child-free,” the invitation read. “Babysitting can be arranged upon request. Bubs are more than welcome to join us at the recovery party on Sunday.”
Fans slam Tammy and Matt for their ‘tacky’ and ‘gross’ wedding requests
Netizens took to Reddit to slam Tammy and Matt for their surprising wedding requests.
“I think it’s kinda gross they’re having a wishing well given how wealthy Tammy is,” one person wrote, whilst another agreed that it was “seriously gross”.
Meanwhile, a third user penned: “Given how wealthy a lot of influencers are, it’s tacky [Tammy’s] asking for money as a gift.”
Influencer Updates AU also weighed in on the controversy on Instagram.
“My thoughts: No kids surprised me. Surely Tammy’s three kids + nieces and nephews will be at least at the ceremony,” the influencer watchdog account wrote.
“The wishing well surprised me. I didn’t know mega-rich people would request money.”
