Love Island Australia 2019‘s Matt Zukowsi and influencer Tammy Hembrow have confirmed what we’ve all been suspecting — they’re engaged!
The couple, who only hard-launched their relationship in September, revealed on December 10 that they’re headed for the aisle.
“Never in my life have I felt so safe, so loved, so understood, so cared for,” Tammy wrote on Instagram. “What a plot twist you were.”
The announcement was accompanied by a video of the moment Matt popped the question while they were holidaying in the Maldives.
The comment section was flooded with support from friends and fans.
“Congratulations angel,” Big Brother VIP‘s Ellie Gonsalves wrote. Meanwhile, influencer Olivia Molly Rogers penned: “So beautiful!! Congratulations.”
The announcement comes after fans voiced engagement speculation online — particularly after Tammy flaunted a new “Matt” tattoo on her bikini line while on their Maldives trip.
In one snap on the ‘gram, Tammy posed by the water at Ayada Maldives Resort with what appeared to be a sentimental jewel on her ring finger.
“I see [an] engagement ring!” one fan commented, with many others agreeing.
Since then, several other clues surfaced that indicate wedding bells could be on the horizon for Matt and Tammy.

After the duo returned to Australia following their romantic getaway, eagle-eyed spies appeared to be onto something.
As reported in episode 334 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one listener saw Tammy and Matt lunching with the influencer’s children — Wolf, Saskia and Posy — at Rae’s Byron Bay.
“She was wearing a huge diamond ring on that finger,” they claimed.
This comes after Influencer Updates AU shared some intel they received from another onlooker.
“They are engaged, just had my nails done next to Tammy on the [Gold Coast].” TEA!
The influencer watchdog account also shared a TikTok recently posted by a friend of the couple, in which Tammy appeared to wear an engagement ring.
“I think yes, they are engaged,” Influencer Updates AU declared.
