Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jack Dunkley‘s client and former friend Lizz Shobolov has spilled the beans on her awkward encounter with Tori Adams at the gym.
Fans may remember Jack’s friend/client Lizz for interrogating Tori during Homestays, insinuating that the former bride was probably sleeping with her friends since they’re predominantly males.
During her tell-all episode of the So Dramatic! podcast, Lizz also revealed that Tori had forbidden Jack from being friends with her and had even tried to get her FIRED from her job at the gym.
As reported in episode 382, Lizz and Tori recently came face-to-face IRL for the first time since. And to say it wasn’t pretty is an understatement!
In a voice memo she sent to So Dramatic, which was played in the podcast episode, Lizz explained that she “chose to be the bigger person”, approaching Tori when she walked into the gym with Jack.
Despite being met with a frosty reception, Lizz apologised to Tori for contributing to any hate she’d been copping from the public.
“I said, ‘I know we’ve been through hell and back. I wanted to see if you’re okay and apologise for any part I’ve played in this’,” Lizz recalled.
How did Married at First Sight’s Tori respond to Lizz’s apology?
Like the self-proclaimed “bulldog” she is, Tori wasn’t having Lizz’s apology, telling her she was a little too late.
According to Lizz, Tori said: “You had the opportunity to get to know me as a real person during home visits and you completely missed that opportunity.” Eep!
Per the voice memo, Tori was also annoyed that Lizz insinuated that “the only reason a girl would have male friends is if they were sleeping with them”. She was also bothered by Lizz’s claims that she was only with Jack for his “six-pack”.
Tori then asserted that Jack was no longer friends with Lizz because she “disrespected his wife“, not because she forbade him from being friends with her. Big yikes!
Despite overhearing this convo from a distance, Lizz stated that Jack stayed out of it. And some people never change!
