Several Married at First Sight Australia 2024 cast members are reportedly being reprimanded for going rogue online and breaking their contracts.
The cast’s Instagram accounts are still Channel Nine’s lock and key. However, this hasn’t stopped participants from taking to other platforms, such as TikTok, to spill tea on the show.
However, Yahoo! Lifestyle reports that doing so has landed a number of stars in hot water for “leaking storylines and breaching their contracts”. Namely, Lauren Dunn, Ben Walters, Sara Mesa and Eden Harper.
“Production has come down hard on the cast this year and are happy to make an example of people, reminding them they’ve all signed legally binding contracts which they’re actively breaching,” one insider told the outlet.
While no participants are facing legal action for breaching their contracts, Nine has “gently reminded them” that they would be within their rights to do so.
Married at First Sight‘s Ben Walters denies being contacted by production
Despite production claims, 2024 groom Ben has denied that he’s been in stern talks with Nine after speaking out on TikTok.
“I’m grateful for the MAFS opportunity and many good producers and talent team for getting me onboard the MAFS wagon,” he said.
“They haven’t helped me one bit with the edit I’ve received and have blocked any publicity to tell my side of the story, and for that, they can continue to ‘reprimand’ all they like.”
He concluded: “I feel it’s no different to a musician deciding to leave a label and be independent. I’ve gone a bit bananas on TikTok and they haven’t said a peep.”
Ben’s comments come after he posted a series of savage TikToks responding to Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough‘s “cheating” scandal.
