The Married at First Sight Australia 2024 Reunion reportedly spelled the beginning of the end for Sara Mesa and Tim Calwell‘s relationship.
From cheating scandals to cancelled dates, it’s no secret that Sara and Tim‘s time in the marriage experiment was turbulent at the very least.
Despite their many obstacles, they managed to overcome their differences and finished Final Vows as a couple.

As previously reported by So Dramatic!, the duo were still “strong” when they returned for the Reunion episodes.
Married at First Sight’s Tim Callwell was spotted on a dating app before the Reunion
However, their romance began to unravel upon the revelation that Tim had been spied on a dating app.
As revealed in episode 371 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Jade Pywell was the one to spill the piping hot tea.
“Jade dropped a huge bombshell that her friend had recently seen Tim on Tinder,” one participant revealed.
“Sara was completely caught off guard. She was embarrassed because they had been sitting there all loved up all night.”
Quick on his toes, Tim alleged, “he was on there because he works in marketing, and it’s a marketing thing”. And sure, Jan…
“Sara gave him the benefit of the doubt and told everyone that she believed him,” the source added.

Jade wasn’t the only participant with tea on Tim. Jonathan McCullough also revealed Tim had told him, “If he had more time, he might have made a different decision about staying with Sara at the Final Vows”. Ouch!
“Sara was completely blindsided and hurt because they were still together and doing so well. She was really upset and crying,” one insider recalled.
“Tim and Sara went outside and had a huge fight about it.”
Sara allegedly “felt like an idiot” because they were “so loved up at the Reunion”.
“She had been telling everyone that they were going so well and were just trying to figure it all out because long-distance is hard,” the source said.
Meanwhile, “Tim was saying something completely different to everyone”, which the experts later called him out on.

Despite their bumpy Reunion experience, Gold Coast-based Tim “spent more time in Sydney” with Sara.
“Tim and Sara were so strong once they got into the real world and there were no cameras or the pressure of the experiment,” one participant explained.
“But then Sara was made aware of Tim’s conversations with other cast members, and this essentially broke them up.”
They added: “Behind closed doors, Tim was telling Sara how into her he was, how happy he was with her, how glad he was that she made it up to him and how much effort she had put in, and that he could really see himself being with her.
“But then he was saying something completely different to the rest of the cast.”
This included telling his co-stars they’d “barely spoken” and that “Sara never wanted a serious relationship”.
When Sara heard about this, “she confronted him” because it was “not true at all”.
“Sara accused him of acting differently to her in private but then saying something completely different to everyone else. And that’s why they broke up.”
As it stands, “they’re not really on speaking terms”, aside from infrequent chat “whilst the show has been airing”.
