Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jack Dunkley has backed up his apology to Tristan Black after body-shaming him on TV.

ICYMI: It was revealed that Jack said, “I see the whales are out today,” when he saw Timothy Smith and Tristan sitting by the pool.

In the March 6 dinner party episode, Jack apologised to Tristan, who has issues with his self-confidence, by giving him a cross keyring and a voucher to buy weight loss supplements.

During an appearance on Bronte & Lakey for Breakfast on March 7, Jack said the way producers “framed” his gift to Tristan was “a little bit shocking”. And sure, Jan!

Jack then explained that he still had a “great relationship” with the fan-favourite groom before reading out a text Tristan sent him the day after the dinner party.

“Just wanted to say thank you so much for the cross and the gift card,” Tristan’s text read. “Also, wanted to say you’re a really amazing person, and I know Tori [Adams] sees that.

“We’re really proud of you on how you take on the challenges. I really hope you have a great weekend. Love you guys, [from] T-Bear.”

And just because Tristan forgives him, it doesn’t mean Jack’s apology was genuine in the first place!

MAFS‘ Harrison Boon defends Jack Dunkley amid fat-shaming comments

As previously reported in the So Dramatic! podcast, Jack has become friends with fellow red flag groom Harrison Boon.

Now, it appears the former groom is doing Jack’s bidding while he’s unable to access his social media, because he uploaded a screenshot of the personal trainer’s chat with Tristan to Instagram.

In Jack’s response to Tristan, he said: “Happy to help you with your fitness journey in any way you need.”

“We all make mistakes,” Harrison wrote over his screenshot. “But let’s not forget that Tristan accepted [Jack’s] apology, and it sounds like Jack has kept his word to change and grow.

“Let’s give people a chance to change and grow.”

And this is coming from the bloke who told Kirra Schofield he’d love to watch her on Epstein Island!
