Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jayden Eynaud and Eden Harper were allegedly “puppets” for producers in exchange for airtime.

Aside from Jayden’s cooked admission during Confessions Week, he and Eden have relatively flown under the radar, with the couple alleging all is well in their relationship.

However, recent episodes have seen the pair dip their toes into the drama, and it turns out there’s a very good explanation behind it.

As reported in episode 360 of the So Dramatic! podcast, several participants dubbed Jayden and Eden “the most boring couple on the show” because they refused to share what was really going on in their relationship with the cameras, experts or the group.

“Jayden and Eden had a pact to stay together until the end, no matter what,” one participant said.

“They wanted to be this year’s golden couple, so they kept all of their issues private so they looked like they were the strongest couple on the show.

“Producers started to work out what they were doing and threatened to kick them off the show because of it.”

The participant added that the “experts were obviously made aware that there was stuff going on behind closed doors”.

“So they kept saying to [Jayden and Eden] at the Commitment Ceremonies, ‘We just think you’re not letting us in’,” they recalled.

“And none of us could understand it. Because we all thought they were going great.”

Married at First Sight‘s Jayden and Eden had ‘HUGE problems’ that were exposed at the Reunion

While the participants initially thought the experts were “just trying to make drama” between Jayden and Eden, they learned this wasn’t the case at the Reunion.

“When we saw their edit played back at the Reunion, we got to see what had really been going on behind closed doors, and there was actually a lot,” one MAFS star said.

“They had huge problems, but they just never opened up about it on their couch sessions or to anyone else.

“And the producers hated that. So a few weeks in, they told them that if they weren’t going to be honest and open about their relationship, they needed to cause drama at the dinner parties or go home because they were literally bringing nothing to the show.”

YIKES.

Threat to leave Married at First Sight pushed Jayden and Eden to ‘start drama’

According to one of the couple’s co-stars, Jayden and Eden were pegged to be “the most controversial”.

However, they soon became “the most boring because they weren’t being authentic”.

“That’s why Jayden started drama with Timothy [Smith] and Lucinda [Light] at the last dinner party. His producer had told him he needed to do something or else they would be sent home,” they revealed.

“Jayden and Eden essentially agreed to be the producers’ mouthpiece and puppet to start drama and bring things up for them, so they weren’t kicked off the show.”

This makes total sense because another of their co-stars also dished that the threat of being “boring” is what eventually pushed Eden to expose her bestie Sara Mesa for catching up with her ex during filming.

Sounds like it’s eat or be eaten in the MAFS experiment!

Details about Jayden and Eden’s MAFS experience come after reports they had a pact to stay together to gain publicity for the groom’s kickboxing career.
