ICYMI: Michael’s OG partner Simon Flocco pulled a runner at the eleventh hour, with rumours swirling that he quit the show to reunite with his ex.
Whilst fans were sad to see charismatic Michael’s journey cut short, fear not, ‘coz hairdresser Stephen is here to save the day. And did we mention he’s giving Fabio?

Per his Instagram, the Perth-based newbie seems to be friends with Hunted Australia‘s Jake and Rob. And is having a famous friend a prerequisite to getting on MAFS these days?
The 26-year-old’s Insta grid is also filled with pics from around the world. So, it’s safe to say the groom’s well-travelled.
Sources tell So Dramatic! that fans of MAFS are “going to love Stephen”.
“He’s such a nice guy,” they confessed. “Just a good, caring, genuine, kind-hearted person.”
They added: “He doesn’t get involved in any drama though. He’s not about it.” Good to know!
Stephen Stewart didn’t know he was the ‘fill-in’ groom until he started filming
Stephen’s best mate, Rob, dished to So Dramatic! that the groom has previously been contacted about going on MAFS in early 2023.
“He was picked for the gay couple at the start [of the season] but when they were in the final stage of casting, they looked at both the guys and realised they are POLAR opposites,” he explained. “So they kinda just ghosted him.”
Producers instead cast Michael and Simon. However, when Simon ditched, “they basically went all the way back to Stephen and only gave him a few days notice [to appear on the show].
“He didn’t know he was the fill-in until he started filming.” Yikes!

According to his official bio, Stephen has been single for four years after his last partner cheated on him.
Despite being completely heartbroken in the past, he’s ready to let someone in again. We hope the experts don’t do him dirty!
As an identical twin and one of eight children, family means a lot to the self-proclaimed “golden child”. He’s looking for a deep, loving relationship, much like what his parents have. However, he’s been struggling to find this in Perth.
The groom-to-be is looking for someone who can challenge him, has a great sense of humour and strong family values.
