Married at First Sight Australia 2019‘s Tamara Joy has hit back at trolls who slammed her for looking “unrecognisable” in a recent selfie.

Tamara, who appeared alongside Dan Webb as an intruder couple in the sixth season of the marriage experiment, shared a pouty photo of herself on Instagram on January 28.

It wasn’t long before the post was rife with negative comments from followers who said she was “stunning” and had “so much class” before having cosmetic surgery and enhancements.

“Aw, you were so natural and beautiful back on MAFS; I hope you did it all for yourself and not for the gram,” one user wrote.

Another added: “This is really sad, but as long as you’re happy, it’s not for any of us to say, is it?”.

“You were so beautiful before, darling. Why oh why did you need to improve on perfection?” a third penned.

The 34-year-old has since turned comments off on her post.

Married at First Sight‘s Tamara Joy said fans opinions of her looks are ‘irrelevant’

Chatting to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the MAFS bride-turned-OnlyFans star said she doesn’t understand why so many people are bothered by her looks.

“These people need to take a look in their own backyard before criticising others,” she said.

“It’s a shame that in 2024, we are still commenting on women’s appearance. It’s sad that society hasn’t evolved, especially women commenting on another woman’s appearance. Where is your empathy?

“Your opinion of me is irrelevant! I loved myself before, and I love myself now!”

When asked what cosmetic work she’s had done, Tamara said she’s had a breast augmentation, a nose job and fillers.

“I’ve had a few corrective boob jobs due to complications with the first one I had when I was younger,” she explained.

“I, personally, wanted to balance out my hips and boobs. I honestly wanted boobs and a nose job since I was 15 years old, so as soon as I was old enough, I got my first boob job!”

She also admitted that in the five years since appearing on MAFS, she’s never felt any pressure from the public to change her appearance.

“I have done what I have done for myself because I wanted to, end of!”

And we love a self-assured queen!
