Married at First Sight Australia 2024’s Tristan Black‘s “down to earth” vibes will be much needed after all the drama that’s set to go down this season.
The Sydney-based groom manages the popular Northern Beaches pub the Manly Wharf Hotel, which is frequented by MAFS pest Dean Wells.

Aside from our not-so-fave groom, Tristan has also crossed paths with a flock of reality stars. He’s mates with FBOY Island‘s Nick Brown, Beauty and the Geek’s Aimee Woolley, Love Island‘s Josh Packham and MAFS’ Cody Bromley.
The 30-year-old’s friends describe him as a “down to earth” guy who’s as “genuine as they come” once you break down his walls.
“He’s a very nice, normal dude. Really friendly and personable,” one source told So Dramatic!. “You’ll love getting to know him. Hope MAFS doesn’t do him too dirty.” And we hope so too!
A second source confirmed that he’s a “great guy”.
“So nice and genuine. Just an absolute legend,” they gushed. “I have no doubt in my mind he’ll be one of the good ones.”

According to his official bio, the event manager describes himself as “confident, funny and adventurous”.
Tristan was raised by a single mum, who he refers to as his “hero”, “queen” and “biggest supporter”. And did somebody say green flag?
However, he sadly hasn’t had much luck in the relationship department because he’d been plagued by the big ol’ “friend zone”.
Unsure whether he’s been chasing the wrong women or just downright self-sabotaging, Tristan is trusting the experts to find him someone as wholesome and loving as him. And we have high hopes they’ll deliver!
After his previous relationship ended badly, he’s been nervous to put himself out there again. But he’s ready to be his future bride’s “ultimate hype man”. He isn’t looking for a long list of attributes, he simply wants to be loved.
