Real Housewives of Melbourne could be returning, albeit with a new twist that’s sure to p*ss off a few long-term fans.

The most recent season of the Victoria-based franchise aired back in 2022, and given it drew mixed responses from fans, it was all but confirmed to be cancelled.

Now, according to the Herald Sun‘s gossip monger Fiona Byrne, the brains behind RHOM are in the early stages of rebooting the series.

However, this is where the Real Housewives diehards might get their boujee knickers in a knot.

Per the Herald Sun, should the show be commissioned for a sixth season, producers are keen to cast younger housewives and only feature a select couple of the older cast.

Naturally, these whispers have stirred up some interest amongst Melbourne’s yummy mummies and influencers.

This tea comes after Real Housewives of Sydney‘s Krissy Marsh teased that we could soon cop more spin-offs in several major Aussie cities.

“I can’t confirm whether a show is going ahead or not, but I know some girls had auditioned,” she said of a Gold Coast iteration.

As for other cities, Krissy said, “it is quite possible with Perth”.

Bring it on!
