Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s self-proclaimed “earth mama” Lucinda Light is one of the quirkiest contestants we’ve ever seen and we’re obsessed with her!
Over the years, we’ve grown accustomed to typical blue tick seekers or narcissistic gaslighters gracing the marriage experiment.
However, this year’s contestants are looking much more promising, especially Lucinda, a free spirit from NSW’s Byron Bay.

In the show’s spicy first look, the 43-year-old tells her new hubby: “I’m dinner, a show and dessert”. And we can tell she’s going to make us laugh ’til we cry!
Now, Lucinda is so ICONIC that Nine even dropped a trailer dedicated to her.
“You’ve never met anyone that shines like Lucinda Light,” the promo teased. And they got that right!
When asked by expert John Aiken: “What are you hoping for?” she rolled out a HUGE list that put Jesse Burford‘s ick list to shame.
“I want somebody who’s really confident, generous of spirit, knows himself, evolutional living,” Lucinda read out loud.
“We’ve got some work to do,” John laughed in response,
The clip also showed a snippet of Lucinda’s chaotic AF wedding. A thunderstorm hit, causing guests to frantically run for cover whilst Lucinda joked: “Do we have a wet weather plan?”
When a producer asked: “Is this how you imagined your wedding ceremony”, the bride beamed: “I think it’s better!”
What else do we know about MAFS 2024‘s Lucinda Light?
Other than being a comedic genius, Lucinda describes herself as sensual, easygoing and creative, per her official MAFS bio.
And her love of lists isn’t the only thing she has in common with MAFS 2023’s Jesse, because Lucinda is also a marriage celebrant and MC!
According to her website, she has a “theatrical arts training background and expertise as a storyteller” so we have a feeling she’ll keep us entertained all season long!
Lucinda also runs a speed-dating company called ‘Soulful Speed Dating’, which she promotes on her personal Instagram account.
However, after devoting her life to helping others find love, it’s time for Lucinda to meet her match.
MAFS’ Lucinda Light is an ‘angel on earth’ with ‘a heart of gold’
It sounds like we’re going to love the bride-to-be, because one source told So Dramatic! that Lucinda is “a legit angel on earth”.
“She’s the most genuinely kind person I’ve ever met,” they gushed.
Another insider backed this up, describing her as a “beautiful woman with a heart of gold”.
“She’s very out there and funny. She’s going to bring a lot of energy and no BS to the show,” they said.
“I can imagine her bringing lots of drama to the Dinner Parties, but only because she’d be like a lioness protecting her cubs if anyone is treating anyone poorly.”
They added: “She’s just a bundle of positive, crazy-good energy and completely jatz crackers. She better not be given the villain edit, but I also don’t think that would be possible.”
What is MAFS‘ Lucinda Light looking for in a partner?
In her audition tape, Lucinda says she’s looking for someone who’s “intelligent”.
“I do not want a bogan. If it’s the right person, it would have to be so on point that we would be making love with existence,” she gushed.
She’s also seeking an open minded partner who can be vulnerable, fun and adventurous. And we hope she finds The One!
