Love Island Australia 2022‘s Al Perkins‘ girlfriend, Hope Kelesis, has denied the couple has split despite mounting speculation saying otherwise.
ICYMI: In December, rumours were swirling that the couple, who’d been together since December 2022, had parted ways after they deleted each other on Instagram.
The 18-year-old influencer had also wiped all traces of the 27-year-old reality star from her social media pages.
However, Hope denied the allegations, telling So Dramatic! that she and Al were still very much together.
Hope also said she didn’t wipe Al from her Instagram. However, Influencer Updates AU posted screenshots of Hope’s grid sans Al!
Photos of the pair mysteriously reappeared on Hope’s Instagram, so it looks like she unarchived a few of the photos she’d previously had on her grid to combat the rumours about her relationship! Interesting…
Hope also claimed that the duo never unfollowed each other. However, their tags had been removed from their posts of each other, which is what happens when you block someone. And did somebody say damage control?
Are Hope Kelesis and Love Island‘s Al Perkins still together?
As revealed in episode 340 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it looks like the couple is truly dunzo!
Despite Hope claiming she was still dating Al, a friend of the couple told So Dramatic! that the pair had “definitely split”.
“They broke up after the White Fox Party in December,” they dished. “Not sure why she told you they haven’t.” The plot thickens!
Why did fans think Hope Kelesis and Al Perkins had split?
Fans grew suspicious about the pair’s relationship after they unfollowed each other on the ‘gram and spent Christmas apart.
Further speculation mounted when Al travelled to Perth over the New Year without Hope, even though the pair were formerly attached at the hip.
On December 30, Hope posted a telling quote to her Story: “If it wasn’t for the struggles, you wouldn’t be as strong as you are today. God is always building you up… even when it feels like He’s breaking you [sic].”
Meanwhile, Al posted a video to his Story with the song She Broke My Heart playing in the background. Brent Vitiello also made a post about his bestie Al, stating he’d had his back since day one.
And if it walks like a breakup and talks like a breakup…
