Love Island Australia 2023‘s Clint Posselt and Savanah Badger have addressed allegations they faked a romance to try to win the show.
ICYMI: A source recently told So Dramatic! that the couple “admitted to each other” that their romance was “fake”.
“They just wanted to get the prize money,” the insider said, adding that Clint was dating their friend before, during and after filming.
While Clint and Savanah lost out on the win to Tyra Johannes and Kale Roberts, they remained coupled up.
At least, until they returned from Spain.
In a statement to So Dramatic!, Clint confirmed the duo are no longer together and vehemently denied rumours of a secret girlfriend and an alleged showmance.
“Yes, it is true that Savanah and I are no longer together,” he said. “We had a week and a half in the villa, and it wasn’t long enough to form a connection that would withstand distance and the outside world, and it took me to step out to realise that.
“I did not have a secret girlfriend on the outside. There are so many things wrong with that. I would never be with someone who would allow their partner to go on Love Island, and I would never allow my partner to, no matter what the reason.”
Clint added that “at no point” did he ever believe he and Savanah would “beat the other couples in the top five, let alone the finale”.
“So if I was in there for money I would [of] taken the 20k [offered in an earlier episode]. I wish Savanah all the best and there is no bad blood from either side.”

In her own statement, Savanah said once she left the villa, her relationship with Clint “felt a bit like a holiday romance/fling”.
“We were together until we left Spain, but the distance and reality of adjusting back into the real world made it hard to continue what we had,” the Love Island fave confessed.
Echoing Clint’s sentiments, the 26-year-old said they called it quits “amicably” and “there’s no hard feelings at all”.
“I really do believe there was something special there and our relationship was never for show,” Savanah confirmed. “I’m not the kind of person to fake something for any reason.
“I literally don’t have a filter and couldn’t fake a relationship if I tried. I genuinely felt a connection I hadn’t in a long time. I adore Clint as a friend and I think he’s a sick lad, it just didn’t work out.”
This comes after Savanah revealed to 9Entertainment that she and co-star Aidan Knox have struck up a romance in the months since filming.
