National man of mystery, former The Bachelor Australia star Matt Agnew, appears to have a new girlfriend with claims he’s dating a major TikTok star.
Matt, who appeared on the once-hit dating show in 2019, has remained relatively mum on his dating life since his split from his finale pick Chelsie McLeod.
In 2021, he was rumoured to be dating comedian Gen Fricker, and more recently (and bizarrely), Real Housewives of Melbourne‘s Kyla Kirkpatrick.

Now, as reported in episode 338 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a listener has come in clutch with some relationship tea.
“IDK if this is public knowledge, but Matt Agnew and social media personality Esmé Louise [James] from Kinky History are definitely together,” they said.
“I’ve seen them at three events now. I saw them at SXSW [festival] and they were very couply at every event.”
They added that their friend was also working at the Virgin Cruise launch party where Matt and Esmé were “off by themselves all night”.

“They’re good, like a perfect match,” the source added. “Esmé was on [Matt’s The Bachelor ex] Abbie Chatfield‘s podcast as well so they’re clearly friends.”
So Dramatic! has contacted both Matt and Esmé for comment.
Who is Matt Agnew’s rumoured new girlfriend, Esmé Louise James?
Esmé rose to fame on TikTok with her lecture series, Kinky History, in 2020, in which she discusses scandalous and raunchy stories in history.
Her account has 2.4 million followers to date, and has since evolved into a book, podcast, TEDx Talk.
In 2022, she was nominated as one of Australia’s Best Digital Creators at the AACTAs.
She has also launched a spin-off mini-documentary series called SexTistics “that uses statistics to create a snapshot – past and present – of gender, sexuality and identity within Australia”.
Esmé hosts this TikTok-exclusive series with her mother, Dr Susan James.
