Love Island Australia 2019‘s Matt Zukowski has addressed THOSE heated airport pics with his fiancée Tammy Hembrow and it all makes sense now!
ICYMI: On December 1, photos were leaked in the Tea Time Facebook Group of the couple standing separately in the queue to catch their flight home from the Maldives, causing rumours to circulate that there was trouble in paradise.
However, on December 10, the pair revealed that they’d actually gotten engaged during the said Maldives trip!
And on his Where’s Your Head At? podcast, Matt, 28, explained why the lovebirds looked so p*ssed off at the airport.
According to the reality star, the couple had a rocky return to Australia after facing many delays and cancellations, adding almost a whole day onto their trip.
The photos of the pair standing apart were snapped during their 10-hour wait after missing their connecting flight.
“We both just weren’t happy, we’d sat in the airport for 10 hours,” Matt told his co-host Anna McEvoy. “When I say not happy… [we were] drained.
“I walked off to go to the toilet and came back and I’m not going to push past a poor family to stand with Tammy as we’re eventually going to get to the same place. So, I just stood there!” he explained.
“Someone’s caught you in your moment of stress,” Anna chimed in. And case closed!

At the time, Tammy, 29, also addressed the stressed airport snaps in an Instagram Story.
“Our first flight got delayed. Then tried to land three times and made everyone go to the back of the plane before going to a random airport,” she wrote.
“Then we all missed our connecting flights and sat at different airports for a day.” Yikes!
The Saski founder added: “I pretty much had a mental breakdown because I miss my babies so much and have major mum guilt for being gone longer than I wanted.”
