X Factor Australia star Johnny Ruffo‘s family has shared details for an upcoming memorial service for the singer following his death.

On November 10, an announcement on the entertainer’s Instagram page revealed the 35-year-old had lost his long-term battle with brain cancer.

The family returned to Johnny’s Instagram account on November 20 to tell his followers that a service to celebrate the Home and Away star will take place on November 25 in Western Australia.

“In Loving Memory of John Patrick Ruffo,” the post read.

The service is set to take place at Balcatta Senior High School at 12:30 pm.

The family has also asked for “strictly no cameras or filming” at the memorial.

It comes after Johnny’s loved ones described him online as “cheeky” and “charming”.

“It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny,” the original post read. “He battled all the way to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give.”

The post concluded: “We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives.

It was also revealed that Johnny “went peacefully”, surrounded by his long-term partner Tahnee Sims and his family.

The actor was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017, then for a second time in 2020.
