X Factor Australia‘s Johnny Ruffo‘s partner Tahnee Sims has broken her silence more than a week after his death.
On November 10, an announcement on the entertainer’s Instagram page revealed the 35-year-old had lost his long-term battle with brain cancer.
Now, Tahnee, 29, has returned to her personal Instagram account with a montage video to pay tribute to her long-term love, Johnny.
“A forever love,” Tahnee captioned the post, along with a broken heart emoji.
In the video, Tahnee shared never-before-seen clips of the couple living life to the fullest.
In the clips, they strolled along the beach, holidayed in the snow and simply enjoyed being together.
The video was set to a rendition of Lady Gaga‘s Always Remember Us This Way.
In the comment section, Johnny‘s Home and Away co-star Lynne McGranger said Tahnee was in her “thoughts and prayers”.
“Darling…. I can’t imagine what you are going through,” she penned. “Cannot wait to give you the biggest hug.
“We all loved Johnny so much but he was your honey and your soul mate and we ache for you.”
Before his death, Johnny always spoke so highly of Tahnee.
“She’s remarkable. I can’t give her enough kudos for how amazing she’s been and how much I’ve been able to lean on her for support,” Johnny said in an interview with local Perth radio station Youth Jam in August.
“She’s been so strong, stronger than I have through all of this. She’s helped me pick myself up when I’m done and I can’t thank her enough. I’m sorry, I’m at a loss for words over how incredible she has been. To me and for me.”
The couple first met at a dance studio in 2013 and forged an unbreakable bond as Johnny soon took on his intense health battle.
