The latest was posted in the comment section of an ABC post that brought awareness to Radically Soft, Sydney’s first-ever plus-sized fashion marketplace.

The 45-year-old questioned where the “inclusivity” was for “non-plus sized people”.

He also argued that Radically Soft excluded customers “based on their body type” and was simply “holding this market accountable for its discrimination”.

Comments on the post were soon turned off.

Founder of plus-sized market hits back at Married at First Sight‘s Dean Wells’ comments

Following Dean’s out-of-touch sentiments, Punkee contacted Tess Royale Clancy, the co-founder of Radically Soft and Fat Muses, for comment on the situation.

“He does not care to educate himself on the fact that it is extremely hard to find clothing in plus sizes both in-store and online,” they told the outlet.

“He says the markets are not an ‘inclusive’ space because we do not have straight sizes.”

Tess continued: “I’d like to turn that back on him and ask why he doesn’t message brands that don’t go past a size 14.

“This guy’s comments are very annoying because the whole world is catered to cis white skinny people and not every space needs to have them in it, especially when they make anti-fat comments towards us.”

Dean’s latest questionable comments come after his management team dropped him for sharing a transphobic post about drag queens hosting events for children.

At the time, Dean alleged drag queens were “inherently sexual”. He also said some had “serious mental disorders that need to be dealt with and should not be glorified or celebrated in any way”.
