“I’ve never spoken about this,” she told Teach Us Consent CEO, Chanel Contos. “I feel sick even bringing this up.”

The Bachelor breakout star explained that when she was at a high school party she had consensual sex with a guy she was interested in.

After that, she drunkenly passed out in a bush. And while doing so, a guy she’d kissed two weeks prior had sex with her.

“That was rape,” she said.

Abbie Chatfield’s friends insinuated that she was just ’embarrassed’ that she’d slept with two guys in one night

However, when the 28-year-old confided in her girlfriends about the incident, they insinuated that Abbie was just “embarrassed that [she’d] f*cked two guys in one night.”

“It was kind of shocking,” the FBOY Island host recalled.

“My friends were kind of like, ‘You’re being ridiculous, you’re just a slut and you just regret it so you don’t want to talk about it”.

However, Abbie then told her “guy best friend” who was on the rugby team about her experience.

“He was like: ‘That’s f*cked, that’s not OK.’ And then I only spoke to him about it for the next year. I didn’t speak to anyone else about it,” she explained.

Abbie also said she questioned if her girlfriends were “right”.

“I’d gotten with this guy before, I’d kissed him the weekend before… And I think I was like, ‘Well he obviously didn’t mean to do that’. So I’m just going to accept that I quote-unquote ‘f**ked two guys in one night’,” she added.

Abbie Chatfield reveals why she never spoke about her assault

Abbie also revealed why she’d never spoken about her assault “to this day”.

“I’m like: ‘Well, he was young and didn’t have the information to understand that that wasn’t OK’.

“So therefore [I feel like] if I speak about it, I’m potentially just ruining his life because he probably has no idea how that affected me.

“Why are we carrying around the guilt and the shame and the anxiety about it?” she finished.
