The Real Housewives of Sydney’s newbie Sally Obermeder reveals why she originally turned down her stint on the explosive reality show.
Sally, the co-founder of the wellness company SWIISH, told The Daily Telegraph that she initially “said no” to being a Housewife because she thought she was “too boring”.
“I only do two things. I work on my business, then I parent. Then I go back to work again, then I parent,” she laughed.
“I [told producers]: ‘I’m boring, I’m not your person. There’s nothing about me that’s remotely interesting or exciting.'”
Sally continued: “And they said: ‘Well, we like that you work and parent. We want to see how you do it. We want to see more of who you are!'”
And honestly, we back this. After all the drama that’s set to erupt this season, we have a feeling the mother-of-two will bring a good balance of wholesome energy!
Sally Obermeder says she’s the ‘keeper of the secrets’ on RHOS
RHOS first aired in 2017, but it was canned after one season for being “too extreme”.
And it seems like the rebooted series is trying to mellow things out because Sally, 50, admitted that she’s committed to keeping the peace on-screen.
“I’m the keeper of the secrets,” she said. “I’m somebody who likes groups to stay together. I like people to get along.”
She then spilled some tea on the group dynamics, explaining that some of the girls had history whilst others were brand new.
“You’ll see what unfolds. The ups and downs. There’s a lot of resolution, humour and warmth. But there’s also some ‘getting to know you’ friction,” she dished.
And it sounds like the perfect concoction!
