“Our poor Charlie was meant to embark on a flight early this morning,” she wrote. “Instead, he had been left at the airport in a crate for nine hours without food.”

The 26-year-old explained that the airport hadn’t notified her about Charlie’s whereabouts; she was only informed that he wasn’t put on his morning flight.

“We are unsure if he’s currently in the air or still stuck inside a crate at the airport. Every person we speak to gives us a different answer,” she added at the time.

“This is disgusting and animal abuse. We should’ve been informed and been given the opportunity to collect our little man hours ago.

“Disgusted is an understatement.”

Later that day, the mother-of-one told her followers that the Departures Team had found Charlie and given him food and water.

“Qantas thought it was okay to put him on a later flight, which would mean he was in a crate with no care for 14 hours. In what world is that okay?” she wrote.

Once Charlie had returned home, Tayla gave her followers a sad update on his condition.

“Home safe! This is breaking our hearts though,” she wrote. “He’s so rattled he couldn’t get up the stairs due to exhaustion.”

She also explained that Charlie was “drooling”, “dehydrated” and “anxious”, before thanking her fans for their support.

On September 27, Tayla posted another heartbreaking update, telling her followers that Charlie “wouldn’t even look at [her].”

“I hate that he thinks we put him through that,” she finished.

Tayla revealed she will be contacting RSPCA, Animal Cruelty Victoria and PETA about the ordeal.
