The Bachelor Australia 2020‘s Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska have revealed the gender of their unborn baby with a sweet Instagram post.
The couple — who wed in a surprise ceremony in March 2023 — announced on September 20 that they are expecting their first child together.
Now, they’ve shared with their social media followers whether they’re having a boy or girl in a gorgeous Instagram reel from their gender reveal party.
“And it’s a ….!!!!!” Locky captioned the video. “A heartfelt thanks to our friends and family in Perth for making this day unforgettable.
“We’re deeply touched by the warm wishes and kind words we’ve received over the past week. This is a thrilling chapter in our lives, and we’re grateful for all the love and support.”
In the clip, a litany of friends and family shared their predictions of the baby’s gender before Locky and Irena popped a balloon that surprised them with pink dust.
So… IT’S A GIRL!
The reality stars’ exciting new chapter comes after they opened up about suffering their second miscarriage.
“We’ve been trying to get pregnant and try to start our family and we were absolutely over the moon when we found out we were pregnant last month,” Irena told 7Life in July.
“Unfortunately, a week later we suffered a miscarriage, and… it was emotional, hard and obviously heartbreaking.”
Later appearing on The Morning Show, the nurse further discussed the “devastating” loss.
“We had one a few years ago quite early in our relationship and you know since we got married we’ve been trying to start a family and it’s been slow and not going to plan but we are just like any other couple with their struggles,” she confessed.
We are SO excited for them now things are looking up.
