Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Carolina Santos confirmed that she hooked up with 2023 groom Duncan James and we saw this coming from a mile away.
According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Carolina and Duncan were spotted looking rather cosy on a night out back in January, after filming wrapped for the latest season of MAFS.
At the time, Carolina insisted that the pair were just having a friendly chat.
However, during her appearance on the Back to Reality podcast on August 23, the 34-year-old admitted that she’d shared “a few kisses” with Duncan!
“We didn’t go home together, sleep together or continue talking after. It was nothing,” she dished.
She then told hosts Taku Chimwaza and Selina Chhaur that this all went down on a “drunken night out” at a “gay club” on Sydney’s Oxford Street.
“Oh, he seems to like those,” Selina chimed in. “Isn’t that where he also hooked up with Evelyn [Ellis]?”
And Selina wasn’t far off, as during her appearance on the Always On podcast, Evelyn told host Charlotte Crosby that she shared her first kiss with Duncan at the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival.
Mardi Gras ran from Feb 17 to March 5, so this wasn’t too long after Duncan pashed Carolina!

According to Carolina, Duncan adamantly denied their hookup.
“He denied it [so] I just went with it,” she recalled, explaining that she assumed he was having a hard time after filming and didn’t want to be at the centre of a scandal.
“I was literally going to take it to the grave. It was nothing, we were both single and it wasn’t a big deal,” she said.
And we’re not sure why he’s denying the hookup unless someone’s lying about the timeline…
When asked how she met Duncan in the first place, Carolina admitted that a reporter shared the Instagram accounts of the current MAFS contestants with her.
However, they only gave her the handles of the people they thought would cop a “villain edit” so she could reach out and support them.
And this tea is very interesting, as Duncan came out with a glowing edit, so we know some serious sh*t must’ve gone down behind the scenes…
