Channel Nine has been casting singles for their shiny new dating show The Arrangement, however, there’s a slight twist.
All of the contestants must count on those who know them best because their PARENTS are in charge of choosing their potential partners!
As revealed in episode 304 of the So Dramatic! podcast, producers have been snooping around the bars of Melbourne to find people batsh*t cray cray enough to hand over their dating lives to their parents.
“Two producers were at the Wolf of Windsor on Chapel Street in Melbourne last night and asked if I would sign up,” one source told So Dramatic!.
“They had a whole lot of information on pamphlets and were approaching people but I wasn’t interested.” And we don’t blame you!
It’s no wonder producers are searching far and wide for contestants coz’ this sounds like a nightmare!
What else do we know about The Arrangement?
According to the casting call, the “bold” new dating show aims to help singles who are “looking for love in all the wrong places” and “need help from the people who know them best”.
“The Arrangement is a gripping new show that tests what happens when singles hand over the fate of their love lives to their nearest and dearest.
“Can true love spring when our families pull the strings?” the casting call reads.
Now, what makes this even more juicy is that the show’s production company is run by Marks Fennessy, who’s also the co-founder of the company that produced Married at First Sight Australia. So let that be an indication of the kinda show it is…
Honestly, The Arrangement sounds like a total train wreck. But as much as we’d never want to be on it, it’d be a hoot to watch. So sign up…if you dare!
