Million Dollar Island Australia contestants have revealed that the show was rampant with behind-the-scenes hookups.
A sh*t-ton of tea about Ant Middleton-fronted adventure series has already been spilled in episodes 300 and 301 of the So Dramatic! podcast. Plus, it’s also facing a lawsuit after one competitor was “badly injured”.
Now, the explosive intel has reached new heights with news that contestants and producers alike were rooting like rabbits when the cameras were off.
As reported in episode 304 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one star claimed that a number of their co-stars were hooking up with crew members.
“After contestants were evicted, they stayed at the hotel back in Langkawi [Malaysia] for a few nights,” they explained. “Some even stayed as long as a week.
“During this time, there were parties galore on the island. It was debaucherous.”
They added: “Everyone would go to the clubs and contestants were hooking up with cameramen, chaperones and producers.”
However, it wasn’t just eliminated Million Dollar Island contestants getting it on. Competitors still in the competition were also hooking up with production crew on the island.
“[Blank] slept with one of the sound guys. This happened on the island,” we were told. “One of the producers also leaked multiple lots of videos and photos to people which breaches a lot of things.”
Million Dollar Island was a ‘free for all’ in terms of contestant hookups
Despite the conditions (i.e. contestants not showering for the entire duration of filming), countless stars hooked up on set.
“It was a free for all,” one contestant recalled. “Everyone was hooking up with everyone.
“No idea how people were getting away with what they were doing.”
They then claimed that a married contestant “hooked up with their spooning partner on the show who was also married”.
“They ended up leaving because they were worried temptation was going to get the better of them if they stayed any longer.”
This canoodling wasn’t the only one of its kind, either.
“Another two contestants who also had partners back home hooked up.” God, keep it in your pants!
Of course, a bunch of singles also got the root rat bug. There was even a THREESOME!
However, the award for most hookups goes to one particular contestant, James Volt, who managed to mack on with a total of five co-stars.
