The Summit 2023 fans weren’t impressed with the nail-biting finale, with some even dubbing it a “waste of time”.

During the June 4 episode, Brooke Kilowsky, Isaac Compton and Lulu Hawton defeated The Summit and made it to the peak of the mountain.

However, there was a twist.

The eliminated contestants had the power to distribute the $490k cash prize however they see fit between the three winners.

Fans didn’t love the show’s format, with many agreeing that the cash should’ve been shared evenly between the three players.

The Summit fans are mad that Brooke won more money than Lulu

The eliminated players agreed that Brooke “deserved her place on the mountain” and decided to give her a whopping $150k out of the prize fund.

However, her bestie Lulu wasn’t as lucky. Because the boxer played an instrumental role in kicking her cast mates off the mountain, karma came to get her, and they decided that she deserved just $90k of the prize money. Which tbh still isn’t a bad paycheck in this economic climate.

Now, $90k would still make us cry with joy. However, fans weren’t too pleased that “backstabbing Brooke” won more cash than Lulu.

Fans celebrate Isaac’s big win

The eliminated trekkers agreed that fan-favourite Isaac was “authentic the whole way through”, awarding him the remaining $250k of the prize money.

People were over the moon for Isaac, stating that he was “the most deserving” and we couldn’t agree more!

However, others thought it was unfair that Isaac won more than his female co-stars, stating that the “gender pay gap exists even in reality TV.”

The Summit fans aren’t holding out for Season Two

After the controversial finale episode, viewers took to Twitter to share their brutal views on The Summit, with many stating that they’re not interested in a second season. Yikes.

However, one fan called the adventure series “one of the best…in over a decade”, so there’s still hope…
