NRL great Braith Anasta has revealed Channel Ten approached him to be the lead on The Bachelor Australia 2024.
ICYMI: The Bachelor is returning for yet another season (sigh), with industry insiders revealing it will revolve around the theme of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.
And yes, there will be multiple leading men, once again!
While we’ve already got the tea on one star that’s been confirmed to So Dramatic!, it turns out there are some fellas who just aren’t keen on the show.
Enter Braith, who told News Corp that he declined the chance to be Australia’s next TV heartthrob.
The 41-year-old, who is already a prominent TV figure in the sports community, said he’s too busy with his current workload to entertain a gig on The Bachelor.
“I’m busy enough already,” he confessed. “I love my role at Fox Sports and looking after my beautiful kids.
“It’s pretty hectic thrown in with managing footy players and golfers,” he said of his sports management firm, Searoo Sports.
How much was Braith Anasta offered to appear on The Bachelor 2024?
As we know by now, the creatives behind The Bachelor are willing to throw a sh*t-ton of cash at leads with huge star power.
And, according to The Sunday Telegraph, it seems it’s no different when it comes to Braith.
The publication cited that the former Sydney Roosters star was offered a whopping $500,000 to be the next Bachie.
Publicly, Braith has been single since his split from fiancée Rachel Lee in 2022, with whom he shares a five-year-old daughter, Gigi.
He also has a nine-year-old daughter named Aleeia, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jodi Gordon. The couple broke up in 2015.
The Bachelor 2024 is set to air early next year and will go up against Married at First Sight for the first time ever.
