Bride and Prejudice Australia 2019‘s Dannii Erskine‘s disputed “death” is almost identical to an accident involving her co-star’s parents just days earlier.
After a memorium post was shared on social media, someone claiming to be Dannii’s sister Dee contacted So Dramatic! to confirm she had died on April 29 following a car accident that left her brain dead.
Several sources have since told So Dramatic! that Dannii is still alive and may have attempted to fake her death.
Following the claims surrounding the 28-year-old’s livelihood, her Bride and Prejudice co-star Jojo Ellias shared that her parents were badly injured in a car accident caused by a drunk driver in late April.
“They were T-boned by a drunk driver and acquired some serious injuries,” she posted on her joint Instagram shared with her wife Jessica Pawa.
“Mumma has 5 fractured ribs, 2 broken toes and dad a fractured spine & vertebrae.”
Meanwhile, “Dee” similarly alleged that “a driver was intoxicated and T-boned” Dannii just days after the Ellias’ incident.

Commenting on a post promoting episode 286 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Jojo and Jess said while the similarities are bizarre, they “highly doubt” Dannii would have been aware of the circumstances surrounding Jojo’s parents’ accident in order to fabricate a story.
“TBH when we first read Dannii had been in an accident and was T Boned by a drunk driver, we thought ‘WTAF’,” they wrote.
“But in all honesty we haven’t spoken to Dannii in 18 months nor had we mentioned anything on our socials till a few days ago.
“[We] highly doubt she would have known.”
In a subsequent comment, the couple said they “became very good friends” with Dannii while filming Bride and Prejudice.
They then revealed it isn’t the only time claims that Dannii has died have surfaced.
“Sadly this isn’t the first time we’ve received messages saying Dannii has passed then used the excuse her account was hacked,” the couple wrote.
So Dramatic! has contacted Jojo and Jess for comment.
Other sources confirm Dannii Erskine previously “faked her death”
It comes after a former friend of Dannii’s told So Dramatic! that she had “faked her death” in 2022, following a separate car accident.
“I believe this isn’t the first time Dannii has faked her death to friends and family,” she said.
“I don’t believe this to be true. Dannii faked her death to multiple people via social media in May last year. I believe she has done the same thing again.”
Dannii’s ex, Denton Ansley, recalled a similar incident, in which she later claimed her account had been “hacked” by an ex.
