Bride and Prejudice Australia star Dannii Erskine was reported to have died following a horrific car accident on April 28. However, new information obtained by So Dramatic! suggests she is very much still alive and may have faked her own death.
The 28-year-old first rose to prominence when she appeared in the controversial “forbidden wedding” series in 2019 when she made a bid to wed her then-partner, Denton Ansley.
As reported in episode 283 of the So Dramatic! podcast, fans were first made aware of Dannii’s passing when a Memorium post was shared to her Instagram Story on April 29.
On May 1, So Dramatic! first reported that Dannii had passed away after receiving an email on April 30 from someone claiming to be Dannii’s sister, Dee Erskine, confirming the reality star’s death.
Permitting us to “publish the correct story”, Dee revealed Dannii was “in a serious accident” in North Melbourne “near Plenty Road” when returning from the shops at night.
“As she went through a green light, a driver was intoxicated and T-boned her,” she explained. “She was alive and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.”
Dee said her sister’s “skull was crushed upon impact with the airbag”, with further “injuries beyond repair”.
“She passed away the morning of the 29th [of April] at 12:01 am,” she said, adding she was the one sharing posts to Dannii’s Instagram account.
Dee later clarified that her sister was “officially pronounced braindead” at 12:01 am, with life support machines being turned off at 5:45 am.
She continued: “She will be loved, very much missed and it was a horrible tragedy. Please be safe on the roads. This can happen to anyone.
“She was 28. Full of life and trying her best to move on and meet someone. Now she won’t get that chance.”
There are no reports of Bride and Prejudice Australia‘s Dannii Erskine’s death or the car accident she was alleged to be involved in
As reported in episode 286 of the So Dramatic! podcast, The Transport Accident Commission for Victoria does not have any matching data for a fatality on April 29.
This was also confirmed by Victoria Police, who provided So Dramatic! with a statement saying: “There have been no fatal or serious collisions in North Melbourne in the past month”.
Not only is there no record of Dannii’s alleged accident, but a spokesperson for the Coroner’s Court of Victoria told So Dramatic!: “The Court does not have a record of the death of Dannii Erskine”.
Eerily, Dannii also previously alleged she was involved in an almost identical collision just last year in which she was “T-boned” and ended up in rehabilitation.
Dannii’s friends and family receive a message about her funeral
A number of Dannii’s family and friends have also shared a text message they received about Dannii’s funeral with So Dramatic!.
The message was sent “five hours before” Dannii was alleged to have passed away, claiming to be from Mornington Peninsula Funerals and outlined the details of a ceremony to be held for Dannii on May 16.
However, when contacted for comment, the company’s director said they had no funerals booked for that date and no one called Dannii Erksine in their care.
Multiple sources confirm Dannii is ‘alive’
Following the initial reports, multiple sources have since confirmed to So Dramatic! that Dannii is “alive”.
“She’s obviously not very well mentally but she’s alive,” one person who wishes to remain anonymous said.
“She’s an inpatient at a hospital on the Mornington Peninsula with a broken ankle and claiming her social media has been hacked.”
Dannii’s family confirm she’s ‘dead’ despite reports she’s still alive
However, reports that Dannii is “alive” is at odds with what her family have been saying.
Not only did Dannii’s sister Dee allegedly confirm her death to So Dramatic!, but Dee’s partner, Shaun Catt, also confirmed on Facebook that she had passed away.
“You should be grieving with the family and your [sic] not here !!!! Stupid f*ck,” he wrote to Dannii and Dee’s cousin Lauren.
He added: “Dannii has passed and your [sic] making all f*cking jokes lowlife c*nt.”
So Dramatic! has also obtained messages that Dannii’s mother, Donna Jones, sent to Lauren, in which she discusses Dannii’s funeral.
“What time is the funeral for Dannii? I’d love to pay my respects. Unless she’s not dead and you’re family is lying again,” Lauren asked Donna.
To which Donna replied: “I don’t know at the moment as it’s just happened.
“Why would you want to pay your respects as she was a lyre [sic]… in your eyes so I would appreciate you not there because your [sic] not welcome…”
Donna has also not responded to our requests for comment.
Despite initially reaching out to us to report on Dannii’s death, Dee has since declined our multiple requests to take our calls and has only been contactable via email.
However, Dee’s partner Shaun did respond to our messages but said he would only speak to us if we paid him.
“$100,000,” he requested. “No money, no answers”.
Dannii’s ex-husband and Bride and Prejudice star Denton Ansley breaks his silence
Dannii’s ex-husband and Bride and Prejudice star Denton Ansley spoke at length about Dannii’s concerning history and behaviour in episode 286 of the So Dramatic! podcast.
Denton explained that it’s not the first time his former partner has claimed to have passed away.
He also revealed that on another occasion, he received a number of abusive and threatening messages from Dannii’s Instagram account not long after they split.
Dannii later claimed her account had been “hacked” by an ex.
This is the second time Bride and Prejudice Australia‘s Dannii has been ‘announced’ dead
As reported in episode 286 of the So Dramatic! podcast, explosive claims have emerged that this isn’t the first time Dannii’s social media account has announced her ‘death’.
A former friend of Dannii’s named Kay Hope explained that she has “faked her death” before, following last year’s car accident.
“I believe this isn’t the first time Dannii has faked her death to friends and family,” she said.
“I don’t believe this to be true. Dannii faked her death to multiple people via social media in May last year. I believe she has done the same thing again.”
The first time Dannii was announced “dead”, her family and friends received a message from her Facebook account about her funeral.
Kay also revealed that Dannii previously claimed to be expecting a child but “was never pregnant”. She reportedly later denied having done so, despite sharing the news on social media.
This was backed up by another person who wishes to remain anonymous.
“For a while she kept putting pics where it looked like she was pregnant, friends rubbing her stomach and saying ‘can’t wait’, etc,” they recalled.
“Then she deleted them all and when people asked about it, she was saying, ‘Why would you even think that, etc’.”
Kay was interviewed by So Dramatic! in episode 286 where she shared more alarming details about Dannii and the circumstances relating to her alleged passing.
Dannii’s deleted Instagram account is re-activated
Strangely, Dannii’s Instagram account, which was deleted shortly after her ‘death’, has since been reactivated. All posts relating to her ‘death’ have also been removed except for her display picture.
Dannii Erskine reported dead following fatal car accident
As reported in episode 283 of the So Dramatic! podcast, fans were first made aware of Dannii’s passing when a Memorium post was shared to her Instagram Story on April 29.
With a photo of Dannii within a wreath, it read: “REST IN PEACE Dannii Erskine. 1995 – 2023.”
The same post was shared to her Instagram grid on April 29, alongside a caption with more information about her death.
“28/04 took Dannii’s life to a speeding driver – A awful accident [sic],” it read. “We appreciate and respect wishes we have received as a family.”
The post also said that Dannii’s social media page would be “deleted in the next day”.
Another Story was later shared to the account, with an image of Dannii and a loved one.
“Rest well Dans,” the post read. “Funeral arrangements are in the process if you haven’t received a message privately and are interested in saying goodbye.
“Email [email protected] [sic] before account is deleted permanently.”
Bride and Prejudice Australia star Dannii Erskine’s ‘death’ follows concerning social media behaviour
Dannii’s sudden death came just days after some suspicious activity on her Instagram page.
“Something is going on with Dannii… Her Insta name was changed to black_shadow_rip and then changed to shing_star_bookofblackshadow,” one So Dramatic! fan wrote in the Communi-TEA Facebook group.
They also referred to a post about an autobiography, in which Dannii said was “inspired by true and heartwrenching events”.
“For the protection of myself and privacy of others all names have been changes to a aliases [sic],” the caption read.
At the time, the book was slated for an April 2023 release. However, it is yet to be released to the public.
Then, an image of Dannii was shared alongside the caption: “One day we will meet again. Rest easy. #justicewillbeserved.”
The posts were soon deleted and Dannii’s Instagram handle reverted to her original profile name, @dannii_erskine.
