Bride and Prejudice Australia 2019‘s Dannii Erskine has confirmed she’s alive with a bombshell statement after a series of claims alleged she had died in a car accident.
It was previously reported that the former reality star had died after her sister, Dee, confirmed to So Dramatic! that Dannii died on April 29 from injuries sustained after she was “T-boned” by another driver. A number of Instagram posts on Dannii’s account also supported this.
However, in episode 286 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto revealed several sources had come forward to claim that Dannii was not only alive but appeared to have faked her own death.
Now, as revealed in episode 287 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Dannii has provided a statement via a friend, who confirmed she is alive.
She also provided screenshots of a statement sent from Dannii’s phone number, in which Dannii reveals her side of the story.
Dannii Erskine’s statement confirming she’s alive
“Dear media and others this may concern.
“On the 29th of April, 2023, my Instagram account was hacked. I received notification to my Gmail which I have attached that it was coming from Geelong region. I live on the [Mornington] Peninsula.
“I spoke to the police over the phone and they going to look into it, advised I had to contact the cyber team and also reported it to Google.”
“I started to receive phone calls from a private number stating they were from the Geelong division police unit and there was something that were pin pointing locations [sic]. I spoke to my family who has now completely disowned me. They advised to try focus on my upcoming surgery for Monday.
“I was in a car accident on September 17th 2022. For the last 6 months I have been homebound due to an injury in my ankle having severe injury from the accident. I was in hospital for many months including rehab.
“I was advised not to comment, my sister never emailed So Dramatic!. All I know it was sent from someone who hacked my account. I have no idea who emailed So Dramatic! and to be honest I don’t really care.
“I have been in hospital all week getting a ankle reconstruction [sic]. I can’t control what the media saids [sic] but I was advised from doctors to focus on my foot recovery. I haven’t had time to deal with this.
“There [sic] sources should have been confirmed before publishing anything. My sister had nothing to do with it and I was trying to focus on surgery from car accident 7 months ago.
“All I can sat, if you have a enemy [sic] or a following be carful [sic], if you ever get notified of someone’s signing in and you not in that location, try the police [sic]. They can trace it all back.
“My sister never confirmed anything and it shouldn’t of been published without family speaking. All I know is this has not just affected me.
“It has put a lot of stress on my family and has caused severe issues for my sister.”
Despite Dannii’s claims that her family is not involved, Dee’s partner made distraught comments about her alleged death on social media, which you can see here.
Dannii Erskine addresses ex-husband Denton Ansley’s comments
Dannii’s ex-husband, Denton Ansley, whom she starred in Bride and Prejudice alongside, told So Dramatic! that she has faked her death once before.
In additional messages to host Megan, Dannii speculated that Denton was the one to hack her account.
“Denton never spoke to my family. All he is worried about is himself and his new fabulous life. My sister never confirmed it. Denton doesn’t know anything about my personal life.
“Yes I have been in hospital but very much alive. I have been extremely unwell and the last thing I really want to deal with is media. Media never confirmed it with family so it should of never been put up and I have already spoken to a lawyer about this.
“Denton hasn’t called or been in contact with me for a very long time now. So back the f*ck off. I find it quite convenient your source is Denton when he hasn’t spoken to my family not once.
“So now I wonder did Denton hack my account? Hmmm very strange.”
Dannii’s statements come after multiple people revealed they received messages allegedly from Mornington Peninsula Funeral with details about her upcoming funeral.
