Reality TV is meant to bare warts and all but one moment from Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023 was so shocking it wasn’t able to be aired on TV.
During the May 1 episode, the farmers introduced their remaining women to their families, who then had to choose which lucky lady would be going on the final 24-hour date.
However, the pressure got to Farmer Brenton‘s mother who refused to show her face or meet the women during the family visit.
The 26-year-old told 7Entertainment that his mother “didn’t want a camera on her” because “she didn’t want to get to know the other two ladies and then not pick them and never see them again.”
As a result, she “decided not to show her face [at all]” during filming. We feel you girl! Nobody wants to help their son become Australia’s biggest heartbreaker.
Who did Farmer Brenton’s family choose for the 24-hour date?
In the end, Brenton’s family chose to send Sophie on the 24-hour date, as she understood what it was like to live on a farm.
“I think coming from a farm definitely made Dad lean more towards Sophie,” Brenton confessed.
“The history of Sophie coming from the land and coming from the country would have been a positive.
“Also, she has family in Victoria. It’s hard to have a relationship with someone from out of the state because you’d know no one but yourself, living here.
“Sophie just gets along with everyone and I think that’s what my dad and sisters really liked,” he added.
