Channel Seven has recently announced that Australian TV personality Samantha Armytage will be the new host of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia.

The journalist previously appeared on the series as a special guest advisor and we couldn’t think of anyone better for the job.

But what about the show’s current longtime host Natalie Gruzlewski who has been at the helm for the last 11 seasons?

Brook Hall, Seven’s Director of Content Scheduling told TV Tonight that “they’re both in the show still. (Previously) Nat was front and centre and Sam was advising on dates.

“But if I’m being honest, they’ve kind of slightly flipped.”

Nat will continue hosting Nat’s Getaway and will open FWAW at the start but Sam will be “taking more centre stage.”

“It’s more blended, with one front and one appearing,” Brook added.

When will the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia hit our screens?

The last season of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia was a huge success, so a new season may come sooner than we think.

“When you look at a lot of these shows, it can be hard,” Brook said. “But there are five couples and the show finished filming three months ago!” Now that’s more than we can say for other reality TV dating shows!

Brook also hinted at what’s to come for the 2023 season, revealing that while other shows are “amping it up”, FWAW will be “pulling back to keep it true to its nature.”

We’re excited to see what the new season has in store, and hopefully, the show has a higher romantic success rate than this season of Married at First Sight!
